Application info

A free application designed to find similar images (duplicates) on your HDD.

SimilarImages will try to determine similar images in your dropped files. Then it displays results pair-wise, so that you may manage them easily.

How does SimilarImages find those similar images?

It uses a somewhat modified version of the "Quadrant RGB" algorithm and futhermore considers some other meta-information provided by the source files.

This basicially means: the images will be split into quadrants and average RGB values are computed.

Pairs that have pretty "close" avg. numbers are considered being "similar".

Integration level may vary depending on the application version and other factors. Make sure that user are using recent version of SimilarImages. Please contact us if you have different integration experience.
