SlimerJS and Flamory

Flamory provides the following integration abilities:

Create and use window snapshots for SlimerJS
Take and edit SlimerJS screenshots
Automatically copy selected text from SlimerJS and save it to Flamory history

Flamory helps you capture and store screenshots from SlimerJS by pressing a single hotkey. It will be saved to a history, so you can continue doing your tasks without interruptions. Later, you can edit the screenshot: crop, resize, add labels and highlights. After that, you can paste the screenshot into any other document or e-mail message.

Application info

SlimerJS is a scriptable browser. It allows you to manipulate a web page with a Javascript script: opening a webpage, clicking on links, modifying the content... It is useful to do functional tests, page automaton, network monitoring, screen capture etc.

It is in fact a tool like PhantomJs, except that it runs Gecko instead of Webkit, and it is not (yet) natively headless. However, it can be headless with the use of xvfb under Linux or MacOS.

SlimerJS provides almost the same API of PhantomJS. The current version of SlimerJS is highly compatible with PhantomJS even if it is not 100% compatible yet. See current release notes in docs/release-notes.rst, and read the compatibility table to know the implementation progress.

Integration level may vary depending on the application version and other factors. Make sure that user are using recent version of SlimerJS. Please contact us if you have different integration experience.
